It was one year ago today that Hank came into the world at 8:26 am.
My name is Sharon and this blog allows me to share it all - life, motherhood, and what is going on with our family!

Mommy's Helper
Hank just had to get a closer look at the dirty dishes tonight. He has been standing all by himself for the past couple of days, so I know very soon he will be walking. He is also working on his fourth tooth. It is on it's way, but not through yet. His first birthday is Friday. I really can't believe it has been a whole year. It really feels like yesterday that we were leaving the house at 5 am to go to the hospital. I think this has been the fastest year of my whole life!
SONflower
Here is my son amidst all the sunflowers. All around Jarrettsville there are fields of sunflowers. Brant's Mom had Hank this afternoon and we met after work at one of the fields. Hank just woke up from a nap in Grammy's car, but right away noticed the flowers as we walked toward them. He was "talking" and pointing at them.

Got Crabs?
Brant went crabbing today so tonight we had some crabs for dinner - yummy!
Hank and I went outside to play while the crabs were steaming. While we were outside we got his motorcycle out to see how well he fits on it - he still needs to grow into it some more. When we were done with it Brant put it beside his - I thought that was funny. Of course I had to take a photo.
I am in the process of planning Hank's 1st birthday party. I can't belive it is in two weeks. Yesterday and today I worked on the invitaions. We are going to see a lot of family tomorrow so I wanted to hand out the invites then.
Enjoy the photos!

Coming to an end.
Today I used my last frozen bag of breast milk. For about the past two weeks I have not been pumping enough milk for the two bottles of milk that I send with Hank every day, so tommorrw he will have to have his first bottle of formula. I guess we did not do too bad considering he is going to be a year in two weeks and has made it this far without formula. What really helped was me staying home with him for the first three months and then being able to come home at lunch the following three months while Mom came to our house to watch Hank. Also the formula is what was sent to me free, so we did not have to buy any, which is good - it's very expensive. What I am going to use is what was sent to me free by the formula companies. When I was pregnant I thought I would probably be using formula so I requested the free samples. I even registered for formula - guess it was a good thing nobody bought me that.
