Tractor Party!

We had Luke's second birthday party on Sunday Dec. 1, 2013.
We had a tractor theme, since he really likes tractors.
We had a tractor tire filled with corn for the kids to play in and a hay ride too!
For our meal we had fried chicken and ham, with sides!!
We also had several desserts for our little sweet lover.

Luke at Two!

Luke turned two on Dec. 3.  The Sunday before we celebrated with a tractor theme party.
On his actual birthday I took off and the boys and I went up to Strasburg to see some trains.

Some fun facts about our crazy two year old:

He loves tractors and trains.

His favorite book is The Foot Book, by Dr. Suess.

He has a BIG sweet tooth and loves candy, cookies, cake, etc...

His best meal is breakfast.  He also likes fruit, spaghetti, mac and cheese, fries, and bread, and he really likes bacon!
He likes his water and milk.  Not a fan of juice.
He has really started to take off on his talking and saying all kinds of things now.
He just started to call us Mommy and Daddy, instead of Mama and Dada.  He also just started to call himself Luke.

On his two year check up he was 31 lbs and 34 3/4 inches, which is in the 75 %.
His head is in the 95 %!

He is a terrible sleeper and never sleeps a whole night in his crib - spoiled!

He wears a size 5 diaper, but is ready to go up to a 6!

He wears mostly 24 month clothing and he has a size 7 1/2 wide foot.

He gets into everything!!  A lot worse than I remember Hank at this age.

He loves animals, and he likes to talk about things being "Big", like a big tractor, or a big piece of bread.  When we ask him who he loves he always names, Hank, Mommy, and Daddy.

We love him a lot too!

Ninja Hank celebrates turning 5!

We had Hank's birthday party on Saturday September 21 at 3 pm.

They were calling for rain and it was kind of windy that day.  Luckily the rain did hold off enough, so that the kids did get to spend some time in the bouncy house.  Later it did rain and rained all night.

Here are some photos from the day:

Hank turned 5 on Sept 18.  I can't believe he is 5 already!
Feels like yesterday he was born.

we celebrated his birthday by taking cupcakes to school.
At home we had steak, at his request, along with Mac and Cheese and corn on the cob.  Some of his favorties!  We also had an ice cream cake.
The following Saturday we had his birthday party.

Hank started another year of pre-school.  Next year he will be able to go to Kindergarden.

Luke at 19 months!

I had the best intentions of doing a post for Luke at 18 months, but that time came and went!
He is now 19 months and fast approaching 20 months.

He had his 18 month appointment on 6/20/13 and he was 27 lbs (80th %) and 32 1/2 inches (75th %).
He got two shots and did super well with them.  He has always been so good with getting those shots!
He currently wears size 18 to 24 month clothing and a size 5 diaper.
He has a size 6 wide foot.
He LOVES his shoes and hats!  He also likes to "hoard" and sort things.
For example right now he likes to take cups and plates out of his kitchen drawer and put them all on the table, then he will take them all and move them somewhere else.

He likes boy things, like jumping off furniture, playing with trucks and cars, and bugs.
He really likes animals too and will go up to cats and dogs and kiss them on the back.

His vocabulary has really started to expand in the last few weeks.  He says bug, nana for banana, bird, deer, and brother.  His two current favorite words are cookie and cupcake!
He shakes his head a lot for no and yes, and likes to make duck and dog noises.

He is a pretty good eater and will try anything.  He loves all breakfast foods, and pretzels, as well as his sweets.  He does well with fruits and pasta, and likes his fries too.  He also will eat most meats and veggies.  When he really gets something he likes he says num num num.

When he eats he often likes to have food in each hand, especially if he is having a snack.  Right now he likes to have a fork when he eats.  He likes water and milk.  Does not care for juice.
He really likes to brush his teeth too.

He used to be SUCH a Mama's boy, but over the past few months he has warmed up more to his Dada and looks for him a lot.  He likes to be outside with Dada and Hank when they are doing boy things, like riding on the tractor or the Gator.

He has a temper and sometimes acts like a little brute, but he also will surprise you with a hug and a kiss, when you weren't expecting it.

We love him so much!

Hank at 4 1/2!

Life is so busy that I don't really have time to blog much.

I do like doing updates on the kids, because it helps me to remember how they were at certain ages.

Time goes so fast.  I look at Hank and I can not believe how big he looks, and how fast he is growing up.

A couple of weeks ago he was really sick for 24 hours, with a stomach bug. It was awful.  He lost a few pounds and it affected his appetite for a while.  He is just now starting to eat more.
Currently his favorite foods are donuts and candy!
He also likes pizza, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, fries, fruit, raw carrots, cereal, pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, and noodles.

He currently is about 48 lbs.
He wears a size 12 shoe.
He wears a 5T, 4, or 5 clothing - depends on the maker!

He loves school and Sunday School.  Everyday he wants to know, "What day is it?  Am I going to school today?"
He likes to play on Daddy's computer, and his Fisher Price computer.  He also likes playing with his trucks and blocks.  He likes to build things and gets upset when Luke comes around to destroy them!
He likes to play outside on his play set, and go for Gator Rides.  He likes having campfires, and going camping.

His current obsession is Ninja Turtles.  He talks about then a lot!

A Real Hoot of a party!

Luke's First Birthday party was on Saturday December 1.
He had fun with his cake and getting into his gifts.  He enjoyed the gift bags and the ribbon most of all!  He did hit one gift while he was opening it and made the music go off on it, which caused him to dance!  He likes to dance.
We enjoyed subs, soups, sides and lots of yummy desserts.

Here are some photos:

12 Months!

Luke turned 12 months on Dec. 3.
I still can't believe how super fast this past year went!
He started to eat some different foods, like pastas, pieces of breads, and cakes.  He had some french fries on his first birthday!   He loves them.  He also likes chicken, and breakfast foods (pancakes and french toast, and waffles).
He is not a good sleeper.  He is up after a few hours in his crib and then I usually bring him into our bed...I know bad habit!
He did start walking at the end of November, six days before his birthday.
He still is in a size 4 diaper and he wears some 12 month, but mostly 18 month clothing.
He currently has six teeth.  At his one month appointment he had to get three shots and did so well with the first two, but cried with the last one, but the nurse said that was the one that stings:(
We went to Wendy's after that appointment and he had a nice meal of fries and chicken nuggets (his first time) and a frosty!  He was 24 lbs (90th percentile) and 31 1/2 inches (98th percentile) and his head is in the 90th percentile too.
He babbles a lot and likes to clap and will give kisses now.  He has even started to try and do the sign for more. One new word he has said is squirrel.
His favorite toys are things that he can push and walk behind.  He also likes cars and trucks.  I think he is going to be my daredevil.  He likes to climb.  He recently was climbing on top of their little chairs and standing there.  He also likes to get into anything!
We love him lots!
